Returning NULL values from web service (C#) to a VC 7 app

Hi,

I have a web service which returns values by reference and also
returns array lists in some cases. I am calling this from a VC 7
application.
The problem is that if ANY of the values returned by the web service is NULL
or the array list is empty (no element) the method call fails. When I trace
through
the generated wrapper in my app, the call fails at BeginParse() function. I
can see
the envelope returned by the web service, but some how, it does not get
parsed properly.

Any hints? What am i missing?

Thanks in advance,
