StackOverflowException

I am using a managed c++ dll that uses an unmanged c++ class. I am using this dll in c# and the stack overflow error occurs when I call the managed dll's constructor that instantiates the unmanaged c++ class. Apparently, some funtion deep in the .net framework is continually writing to the stack. Any suggestions guys?
