Destination folder for MSVC 2003

I am trying to install MS Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Architect from
a MSDN DVD. The problem is that I cannot change the destination folder. The
"Local Path" dropdown list and text box are disabled. When I select ".NET
Framework SDK", the "..." button appears allowing to change the path for
that component only. I tried <setup.exe INSTALLPATH="D:\Msvc71"> with no
success. Apparently being an architect is not enough to be allowed to change
the destination folder.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I did read readme.html and installation notes and
searched google web & news, but I could not spend the rest of my life
filtering out 99% crap.

At last I created a junction point in the default folder pointed to another
drive. That's when I figured out that the problem was perhaps because I had
the latest MSDN Library library installed for .NET 2002. I didn't have time
to uninstall and install MSDN once again.

Cheers.

Check googlenews for bits about MSDN (docs) installed
location against trying to install vs7.

Googlenews new to you? It has a search that lets
you search things on microsoft* newsgroups as you
could search web sites. One's for newsgroups, one
for web sites. The same, only different. 99% crap,
but what do you expect? That's the internet.
