VT_PVARIANT

ATL/COM: The framework (.NET 2003) generates sourcecode using a datatype
VT_PVARIANT to transmit a variant to a subscriber using a Connection Point.
The compiler can't compile this code. VT_VARIANT seems to be unknown.
How to transmit a variant?
