Language Enhancements

Hi

I am new to C++ with .NET. I usually use VB.NET or C#. I am looking improve
my C++ and use it more in .NET Development. Can you tell me Managed
Extensions are worth spending time with or will the new language
enhancements make that unnecessary? I have requested the PDC Tools/CDs and
want to work with C++ in longhorn. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank You

<opinion>
Many people are using MC++ successfully now. That said, I personally
wouldn't recommend it unless you have a compelling need to access existing
C++ code from .NET today. If you're just looking for general .NET
development in C++, my advise would be to wait for Whidbey and stick to C#
for the time being.

Carl,

does the Whidbey (PDC) compiler support xmldoc extraction (like the C# ///
comments)?

Yes, with /clr.
