C2555 - Covariant return types

Q240862 says that the above error is fixed in vc++.net
and yet I get the same error in .net 2003.

Does anyone know if this is fixed? If so where I can get
a patch.

Please post some sample code that illustrates what you're trying to do &
demonstrates the error. VC7.1 definitely does support covariant return
types.
