When I load a Visual C# project which has assembly references
(dll references) that do not exist, I get a little yellow triangle
with an exclamation point. But the project still loads.
If I do the same thing with a Visual C++ project, I get the
"Project <foo.vcproj> failed to load".
I created a simple example of this to make sure it wasn't a problem in
the way I set things up.
I go to Create New Project, Visual C++ Console Application.
It creates all the default files and it builds fine.
I close the IDE. I open up the .vcproj in a file editor
and add an entry for a reference to junk.dll (which is made up,
this file does not exist).
Go to load the project...'fails to load'. I delete the
junk.dll reference and the project loads fine.
Is this expected behavior??! I'd rather get a little warning icon
like Visual C# projects give. Does anyone else see this problem?
Thanks
Ricardo
