Using libcmt.lib with Mixed Mode DLL

I have an assembly that contains both managed and unmanaged code.
According to Microsoft knowledge base 814472, I have to link /NOENTRY
and manually call __crt_dll_initialize(), etc.

The steps mentioned in the knowledge base article include a step to
link with msvcrt.lib. I wonder why the knowledge base article does not
mention the other option, which is to link with libcmt.lib.

Could someone advice me if there will be some grave consequence if I
link with libcmt.lib instead (of course using /MT during compilation)?
I have tried and apparently the DLL still works.

I need to link statically with libcmt.lib so that the DLL can be
deployed by FTP to the ASP.NET "bin" subdirectory. If I use
"msvcrt.lib", it is necessary to put msvcr70.dll and msvcp70.dll in
system32 as well, and in many case this is not possible (such as in a
shared hosting environment).

Regards
Peter Kwan
