How To debug COM code?

To my knowledge, you cant. I know VB can, but for some
reason, C++ compilers -- both .NET and VC++ 6, you cant.
You could do something like this:
long lVar;
lVar = pRecordset->State;
then do quick watch on lVar.

-----Original Message-----
When I use ADO library, I can't use "Quick watch" to calcute COM Pointervariable value, such as:
_RecordsetPtr pRecordset = NULL;

...execute a query an return a recordset from ADO connection if (pRecordset->State != adStateOpen) //---------In Here I want to Quickwatch "pRecordset->State" value, but when I use Debug window "Quick watch"to calcute this value, "Quick Watch" get me an error as "ErrorCXX0063---unsupport overload operator"
{
...

I use Visual Studio 2003 .Net CHS version and windows 2000 server.
