Which Node Did I Select?

When the following XML is loaded into a tree control and a <name> node is
selected I have no idea how to determine how to identify which <student>
parent node the child belongs to when all parents have the same name.

The TreeNode.Parent property returns the name of the parent but I need to
identify which parent so the data in the selected node can be populated with
data or modified as the case may be.

An example of the XML follows...

<school>
<name>School of Hard Knocks</name>
<student>
<name>John</name>
</student>
<student>
<name>Jane</name>
</student>
</school>

Paste your code if handy but directing me to the right methodology or
referral to documents will be appreciated.
Thanks for your comments...
