XML Serialization tricky issues

Can someone point me to a good reference on serializing custom types so that
they can be returned by ASP.NET web services?

Some of the problems I'm daunted by are serializing (weakly typed)
collections of custom types, and custom interfaces to custom classes.

I'm sure thes are common problems and I don't want to take people's time if
this issue has been discussed numerous times. But please point me in the
right direction. It would be great if you could CC my email address too.

Many thanks,
Sridhar Sarnobat
