Writing xml file on a remote machine

Hi,
How can I write an xml file on a remote machine in the same network?
I tried passing string "\\machinename\directory\filename.xml" to
XMLTextWriter constructor but it failed even though I had full rights on the
directory.
Thanks
Himanshu
