SOAP Client SDK

Hi

On a custom tailored XP installation, the following vbs script did not execute
dim SOAPClient
set SOAPClient = createobject("MSSOAP.SOAPClient30")
on error resume next
SOAPClient.mssoapinit("http://www.xmethods.net/sd/CurrencyExchangeService.wsdl")

if err then
wscript.echo SOAPClient.faultString
wscript.echo SOAPClient.detail
end if
wscript.echo SOAPClient.getRate("England","Japan")
if err then
wscript.echo SOAPClient.faultString
wscript.echo SOAPClient.detail
end if

Note that MSSOAP is registered, but at the run time we've got:

N:\Soap_VB>cscript exc.vbs
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.6

i.e: An ActiveX component can not create the object MSSOAP.SOAPClient30

What is missing ?

1st - wrong group.
There is a group for the soap toolkit.
try microsoft.public.msdn.soaptoolkit
or
microsoft.public.xml.soapsdk

are you sure you have the Soap toolkit v3.0 installed?
I tried it here and it works.
