how to make calls in a batch

>> don't know if this is the right group to post this message. but trying
anyway!
the client i am developing using C# needs to call 3 WebMethods in a webservice together as a batch-- does XML Web Service have support for calling webmethods in a batch or transaction ?.

case-1: say the 3 methods do an insert, update and delete respectively on
a database. How can I call all the 3 of them transactionally

case-2: say the 3 methods are "get methods"-- i.e one returns a bytearray,
one
returns an integer and the third one returns a string. I need to "protect
the client" from the risk of a webservice method not returning (due to
service outage). Do I need to call the three methods and check for errors?

Any help would be appreciated

thanks
