XmlText Reader with a Network stream fails after SP1

CLL
I had a post earlier that was covering this issue, and a solution was never
posted to that thread. I did however find several other similar threads and
most had the following comment in them:

"This is a problem that was introduced by a bug fix made between version 1.1
and SP1. Affected customers can contact PSS and request a QFE if this
problem severely affects their business cases."

My question is, If we call, is this going to cost $$ to get this fix? The
reason I am asking is because we ship code to customers that have this
problem in it now, currently we are suggesting that they do not update to SP1.

Is there a way we can send this update to them when they encounter the
problem without having them call PSS?

Thanks,

Keith

Keith, I'd suggest that PSS would be in the best position to answer your
questions including what this solution will cost you and your customers in
terms of money, inconvenience, etc.

It also seems like you probably can make recommendations, but not control
whether your customer upgrade to SP1. So you're going to have to get on top
of this matter before your customers start coming back to you with defects
reported against your product.

Cheers,
