Using mso-application in Internet Explorer

Hi all,

Based on this post:
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=ms...phx.gbl&rnum=8

And by doing a bit of reverse engineering how InfoPath is doing it I manage
to make my XML files opened in my App instead of the default XML editor by
adding the

<?mso-application progid="My.App"?>

This works beautifully in Windows Explorer, but I can't get IE to work the
same. I mean when you click a link to an InfoPath document in IE, it opens
InfoPath, however if I click on a link to my App it renders it in the
browser itself.

Anyone has any idea how to get this to work in IE? Is it different? I tried
to register a custom MIME type ie:
application/myApp-xml but no luck still.

Regards,
