use asp.to save current state back to xml file

i have a web form with the following on load event

Dim xml As New XPathDocument(XML_LOCATION + XML_FILE)
Dim xslt As New XslTransform
Dim SelectedTransform As String

SelectedTransform = New String("myxslt.xslt)

xslt.Load(XSL_LOCATION + SelectedTransform)
xslt.Transform(xml, Nothing, Response.OutputStream, Nothing)

this displays my transformed xml file which has data in editable
controls such as dialogs and text boxes.

if i change one of these editable values , how can i get the active
dom to the page behind file so i can save the new data back to the xml
file
