XML as a database that can be written to

mjc
Has anyone had any luck using XML as a database that not only can be read,
but also written to?

What features are available in .NET to do this?
I need to do all of this from a Web based application.
Am I thinking File System Object?
Thanks.

That's doable, but you better use real database instead. XML wasn't
meant to be used as a database, it's just a data format.

Yes, it can be done and I think its an ideal replacement for INI or config
files where most of the access is reading. You will have to be careful if
multiple users can update an XML file because there is no automatic locking
mechanism.
