document() function fails when loading xsl from stream

Hello all,

i've got an XSLT stylesheet containing a XSLT document function with
an absolute URI :

<xsl:for-each select="document('http://x.y.z/dir/a.xml')/root/element">...</xsl:for-each>

Applying this code

XPathDocument xPathDoc = new XPathDocument("http://x.y.z/dir/b.xml");
XslTransform xslTransform = new XslTransform();
xslTransform.Load(Server.MapPath("stylesheet.xslt" ));
xslTransform.Transform(xPathDocument, null, Response.OutputStream);

everything works like expected - nullo problemo !

Loading the stylesheet this way

XmlTextReader textReader = new
XmlTextReader(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetM anifestResourceStream("ns.stylesheet.xslt"));
xslTransform.Load(textReader);

the document function fails !

I checked baseUri and relativeUri by adding a XmlUrlResolver derived
class and overriding ResolveUri :

baseUri is null, relativeUri is empty !

Strange !
Any hints are welcome !
Thanks in advance !
