expression property is null in xsd.exe generated dataset classes

I have an XSD file (dataset.xsd) which which defines a dataset. I run
the xsd.exe tool to generate a class representing the dataset.

syntax: xsd dataset.xsd /dataset

some elements(columns) in my dataset are defined with a expression
attribute i.e. the column is made up to two or more columns

e.g.
<xs:element name="KEY" type="xs:string"
msdata:expression="BH01_LNENO+BH02_TYP" minOccurs="0" />
<xs:element name="BH01_LNENO" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0" />
<xs:element name="BH02_TYP" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0" />

however when the class is generated, the columnKEY is initialised with
the following line (in the InitClass method)

this.columnKEY = new DataColumn("KEY", typeof(string), null,
System.Data.MappingType.Element);

the expression parameters is null!

Am I doing something wrong or does xsd.exe ignore the expression
attributes in the source xsd file (if this is the case then can anyone
suggest another solution or workaround please).

Many thanks in advance

Mike
