Convert Perl to C#

Hello,

Has anyone heard of a program that converts a perl internet app to a
C# or VB.net application? ...even partially? I've looked and I
haven't found anything, so I began developing one in my spare time. I
was told that it would be near impossible, but I've had a pretty easy
time of it so far. Before I spent much more time on it, however, I
wanted to see if anybody else has had any luck finding an app already
developed, or to hear any comments from anyone else on how impossible
it is. I won't even pretend to be a perl expert, nor do I want to be
(hence the need for the program ;).

My goal is just to change the perl syntax into near-C# syntax, and
then manually go through and fix whatever's broken after the converter
does most of the grunt work.

I welcome any suggestions or comments (especially ones that begin with
"Yes, I know of a great conversion utility that you can download
at....").
