track client side button clicks-Urgent

Hey All,

I have been working in .Net for about 2 years now, but have never had to
deal with much client side code. I have 'inherited' an application that has
much client side code. What I need to find out is:

How can I send data from one page to another page that tells me if the user
has clicked on a save button? I have an editproject page and an editcopy
page. If the user has entered data and saved it on the editcopy page, I need
to know. Because, if the save button has been clicked on the editcopy page,
then I need to display another button on the editproject page. This button
should only be visible to the user, if they have already saved the data on
the other screen.

Thanking all in advance for whatever code/help/suggestions that you will
offer.
