Help with extender controls

Hello All

I am trying to use the extender control from
http://dotnetrix.co.uk/menus.html so that I can add a tag to MenuItem

But I cant get it to work.

This is the steps that I took

Created a new projects.
Created a new component and added the code from
http://dotnetrix.co.uk/menus.html Create an Extender Component to add a Tag
property to MenuItems.

Compiled the code, and no errors.

On the form I dropped a MainMenu, and added a MenuItem, but the tag and
group items did not appear

As this is the first time that I have tried to use extender controls, I
suspect that I have missed a step. If anybody can help me out would be great
