Windows Service problems

Note:I'm using VB.NET, .NET 2.0, to write a service application. So far I've only attempted to run it on the development machine.

I'm have a couple of problems I can't quite figure out with a windows service I'm writing. The purpose of the service is to backup my Source Safe folders each night over to a machine that gets backed up each night. The 2 main problems I'm having are as follows:

1) If I set the Installer to install the service in the LocalService account context, I get 'access denied' errors when I try to copy the files. I have no problem traversing the folders, however. If I install it under the user account context, and use my username/password it copies just fine. However, the service will not be running on my machine, so I really need to get it to run under the LocalService account...right?

2) I get a 'The event log is full' when I try to write to my event log. I've tried deleting it and recreating it, tried using .clear, but none of them seem to work. I'm not sure what to do. Note: I've only reached the bit of code that writes to the log file after installing in the user accoutn context described in problem 1) description. I"m able to delete and create the eventsource, but not write to it.

HELP!!!

Thanks
Marshall
