Assembly manifest into dll

Hello,

As you know, if I have 2 different versions of side-by-side COM libraries, I
need to use .manifest to control which COM libaray to load into the
application. This works fine if the application is .exe.

I have a problem of making this working into a C# dll. For example, I am
making a class library which needs to load a different version of COM
libraries. Since I don't what the hosting .exe will be, therefore, I need to
embed the .manifest into dll to control the dependency, so that my class
library always loads the right version of COM by default.

I have tried many ways and I couldn't make this working. Does any one have
experience in this subject share his expereince?

Thanks
