I'm not an expert at this but I recently had problems executing an .aspx
script that had to access a SQL Server database. Once I ran a script in
Query Analyzer granting rights to <MyDomain>\ASPNET, my script successfully
updated the database.
The permissions I granted to that account with respect to my database were:
-dbaccess
- role 'db_datareader'
- role 'db_datawriter'

Totally new to this group, so please excuse if off topic or stupid
question.
I went to my control panel to change a user password, and noticed I have a
new user account for "ASP.NET Machine...". IT is a limited account with
assword. How did it get in my system? From when I installed the .net
framework? Should it be there? Can it be deleted? Thanks for your help!
