'\0' at end of string causes serialization error

I'm trying to use a RichTextBox in a winforms application which communicates
with a database via webservices. However when I try to pass the
RichTextBox.Rtf property to the WebMethod, I get a serialization error caused
by the '\0' which is automatically appended to the string. I have tried to
store the string as RichTextBox.Rtf.Replace("\\0","") but it doesnt seem to
work. Any help would be appreciated.
