LDAP (not AD) query in vb/asp.net

I am attempting to get information from an OpenLDAP server (NOT Active
Directory) using the DirectoryServices object. The response is always "There
is no such object on the server", but I can use other LDAP clients with the
same filter and get the response I expect. I think it has something to do
with the way I set the path in the DirectoryEntry. Thanks for any help you
can provide. Here is the code:
