Hiding DLL files during Search/Find?

After installing the .Net framework (v1.1) I lose the ability to find all
DLL files on the C: drive. Show all files is checked, and hide extensions is
unchecked in the folder option settings, and I have local admin rights. If
I go to the winnt directory and search for dll files, I get the dll files in
winnt, but not in the system32 subdirectory. Searching at the root returns
all dll files in all folders except for winnt. It's not so much a problem as
it is I don't know why it's doing this. Does anybody know why installing
..Net does this?

mmh.. funny bug.
I have bot 1.1 & 2.0 install and I have no such problem.
And IIRC, when I had only the 1.1 version I hadn't this problem either.

Not very helpfull, but might gives you idea to look elsewhere for the
culprit, maybe?!

You're right Lloyd, it's an odd problem. I don't get the problem with .Net
framework 2.0, only 1.1. Like I said though, it's not so much a problem as I
wish I knew why.
