Using UNC with DirectoryInfo

I am trying to use a UNC path name with DirectoryInfo and I am getting access
denied. I am not impersonating the account and I have access to the
directories and I can still not figure it out. So is it then trying to use
the IUSR_MachineName account as the anonymous user? I have also tried
setting impersonate to true and it still does not work, it brings up a login
box. Here is my code below. Can somebody please explain this to me and
offer suggestions on where to go?

Sub Page_Load(sender as Object, e as EventArgs)
Dim dirInfo as New DirectoryInfo("\\wd-mn14h6a3p310\Test\")

articleList.DataSource = dirInfo.GetDirectories
articleList.DataBind()
testlbl.text = user.identity.name
End Sub

Thanks.
