Templates vs. Masterpages in Framework 1.1

I am trying to build a new web application and trying to implement either
templates or master pages in it.
I tried to read several articles but could not actually deside on weather to
go with the template
approach(http://forums.asp.net/ShowPost.aspx?...tID=4692#66176)
or with The masterpages
approach(http://www.asp.net/ControlGallery/Co...px?Control=385)

Can you please suggest me which one to use and why?

Thanks,

Ok; After reserching for quite a while I have decided to go with MasterPages.
Ofcourse customised version given By PaulWilson @ his site.
This way it also allows me to implement/utilize the benifits of Inheritance
and also Master pages.

Hope this helps atleast someone.
Can give a look @ Paul Wilsons Solution here..
http://authors.aspalliance.com/PaulW...rticles/?id=14
and also his template generator here..
