Using the Debugger with the SBA SDK

I'm developing an Add-in for Small Business Accounting 2006 using the SDK.

I built and ran the example DLL provided but in order to use the debugger
requires that SBA be started from the IDE. Unfortunately, the Add-in DLL
must be first installed in SBA but when the debugger is restarted it
rebuilds the DLL. When SBA tries to use the DLL it gets an error that the
DLL is invalid.

After some thrashing around and thinking, the solution came to me in my

In the AssemblyInfo.cs file, there is this line:

[assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.*")]

I changed it to:

[assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.1000.1000")]

This ensures the version number doesn't change when the DLL is rebuilt and
makes SBA happy.
