vb.net service in command window

I am writing a vb.net service, for debugging purposes I am trying to find a
way to run the service as a command line app in a command window. The
preferred outcome would be launch service.exe with no command line switches
it runs as a normal service but if you launch as service.exe -debug it runs
in a command window. Does anyone know how to do this?
