.NET framework SDK install problem

I tried installing the .NET framework SDK from an MSDN DVD and the setup
program stopped responding, so I had to end the process. Now when I try to
install it again setup encounters an error and closes. It doesn't give any
information about what the error was. I looked around for traces of the
installation that I could remove and try again but didn't find anything.

Any hints for getting this SDK installed?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike your experience is expressed so ambiguously I doubt anybody can help.
All I might suggest is to try to install the framework without the SDK and
determine what to do next.
