.Net Framework 1.1 Installation Error

I am trying to install a new software application (QuickBooks Pro) which
requires that the Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 be loaded first. Every time I
try to install .Net 1.1, it gives me the following error message:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly
“Microsoft.VisualC,Version=”7.0.5000.0”,Publ icKeyToken=”b03f5f7f11d50a3a”,Culture=”neutr al”,FileVersion=”7.10.3052.4’”.
Please refer to Help and support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8002802F

What must I do to eliminate this error message and complete my installation?
I have already tried to download the .Net 1.1 application directly from the
Microsoft website.

Thank you!

Hello Mark,

You might get error 1935 during .NET installation, if you are using
Netfx.msi Microsoft Windows Installer package.
This can also happen if Mscoree.dll is in use before you start Setup.

Please refer to the following MSDN articles that explain the casues and
resolution for this error:

1. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;839547

2. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;308096

3. http://www.kbalertz.com/kb_872904.aspx#top

Hope this helps.

Thanks
