ISerializable strongNaming

We have some legacy code that passes an ISerializable object via a
BinaryFormatter and a socket. This code has work previously.

I added strong naming to the application and since then we have started
receiving errors:

Message: Cannot find the assembly GLOBAL, Version=XXXXX, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=XXXX.
Source: mscorlib
TargetSite: System.Reflection.Assembly GetAssembly()
ExceptionType: System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationExceptio n
The dll is there but the Version is different. Why is this happening and is
there a way around this type of error?

Thanks!
