MSWord.doc and web-server

Hi

I am trying to open a Word document through a script.
This works fine, but the document is opened as a write protected document.
Meaning that the users just cant savbe it directly against the old document.

The document is located on a document serv and accessed through a virtual
directory(read/write permissons) on my web-server.

How can I change this
