New PC: Media center or Pro?

Hi,

I am a casual developer using .net. I currently use SQL Server, handhelds
(compact framework) and limited desktop development. I would like to get
into ASP and web development, I think.

I'm about to get a new system. I would like some of the media center
features. Does this limit my playing around with visual studio and SQL
server?

thanks in advance.

I've been thinking about building a MCE myself and asked around myself. Just
this week at an ineta meeting a developer showed the use of the framework to
create additional MCE functionality. AFIK it seems most MCE issues are
related to hardware compatibility and device drivers.
