how to add progress bar to richtextbox

Hi all,
I have been trying to add a progress bar to the rich text box like it is
done msn messenger. The sample code for that

prgBar1=new ProgressBar();
prgBar1.Location=CalculateLocationOfControl();
prgBar1.Size=new Size(80,20);
richtextBox1.Controls.Add(prgBar1);

The idea is add the the progress bar after the latest text is added at
runtime.
CalculateLocationOfControl function calculates the location for the control
to be placed.
It works fine as long as there is no scroll in the rich text box.But the
problem is that If there is a scroll in the text box the progress bar is not
visible.

Am i doing the right way?
or is there any other way to do this?
