SharpDevelop: exec sdkvars.bat before building a C++ project

Hi all,

I am diving into the great topic of C# development and found the GPLed
#develop IDE *very* nice.

My system is a WinXP Home box with XP SP2 Platform SDK (full), .Net
Framework SDK.

Compiling C# sources works out of the box but having problems with
C++. An error msg pops up stating that the cl.exe cannot be found due
to PATH env vars issues.

In C# Project options | Configurations | Debug/Release | Output I am
able to set a script, which will be executed before building. Here I
would refer to
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v1.1\Bin\sdkvars. bat
which sets all vars for my build environment.

Unfortunately this option is not available in C++ projects (at least I
couldn't find it). Is it possible to execute this sdkvars.bat prior to
building my project? If yes, where can I enable this? How is this
circumvent by other developers despite "hard coding" the env vars in
Control Panel | System...?

Thanks in advance,
George
