bypass Windows Component Update cd on install?

Is there a way to install without the cd since mine is scratched? This is
for 2002 edu version. I've tried submitting a support request on the ms
site,
but *everytime* I submit it says it couldn't do it which is very
frustrating.

If anyone knows a solution I'd appreciate it. The setup forums are dead :(

Try running

Setup.exe /no_bsln_check

I tried that and there appeared to be no difference. I dont know if you
remember but the install for VS is "3 steps" first step says that some of
the versions of .net don't match what is required by vs and that I need to
run WCU cd.

I'd settle for downloading an ISO even if that was available.

There is a way. Try to find out what components you should have instelled
and install them (it's written in setup documentation). If you can't find
then:
1. Update your system using Windows Update (windowsupdate.microsoft.com).
You should have latest service pack installed
2. Install .NET Framework 1.0 (1.1 won't do because your version is 2002)
3. Install MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components)
4. Install Visual J# Redists

Try to run you setup again.

P.S. Another way is to order WCU CD from Microsoft. I do believe they can
help.
