redirect to another web form

LjP
I am trying some examples from Developing web app book.
This one is suppose to redirect / transfer to another page:
WebForm1.aspx has one button and one text box:
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Response.Redirect("WebForm2.aspx", True)
End Sub

WebForm2.aspx has one text box:
Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim colForm As System.Collections.Specialized.NameValueCollection
colForm = Request.Form
TextBox1.Text = "Value from previous page: " &
colForm.Item("textBox1")
End Sub
colForm.count shows 0 and I do not get any value from text box from WebForm1

In the case when I use Server.Transfer from the first page
Server.Transfer("WebForm2.aspx", True)
I am getting error "Unable to validate data"
In case of .Transfer EnableViewStateMac is set to False.
