HTMLSelect fire event on selection change.

Hi,

I have found myself wanting to use an HTMLSelect control instead of a
DropDownList so that I can programatically set the item colours in the list
(not possible with DropDownList due to attributes bug). My problem is I need
to fire a server side event to execute some code when the user changes the
selection. When I had a DropDownList I used the 'SelectedIndexChanged' event
and it worked great - does anybody know how I can get the HTMLSelect control
to fire a similar event. I know about the 'ServerChange' event but it only
fires when the page is posted back by a button click or something and I don't
want my users to have to 'confirm' a change in the list by clicking a button
everytime they change a selection.

Anybody got any ideas.

Thanks
Russ
