Hi Guhan
to buy 64 bit processor
confirm that the processor doesnt have any pb regarding any software i
installs(ie oracle,VS 2005 beta,java etc..)i will install xp professional (32
bit) and linux.

There are many different 64-Bit CPUs...

Do you mean the new AMD64/EM64T (x64) architecture?
If you install a 32-Bit OS,
these new processors do simply run in 32-Bit compatibility mode.
Thus there should be no problems with Windows XP (SP2!) or VS 2005,
else blame the CPU or mainboard or BIOS manufacturer...

But a complete system has so many components that could
be incompatible (e.g. graphic card)...
Note, there will be a 64-Bit Windows XP very soon.
