Crazy MailMessage problem

Hi there,

I am sending an HtmlFormat email using MailMessage from my code. In
between me assigning the body text and the message being sent something is
inserting random exclamation marks in my string (which mess up the HTML).
Has anyone else come across this, and does anyone know a solution?!

Examples available if necessary, but it's basically as simple as what I've
described; the string I assign to the Body of the MailMessage does not
contain exclamation marks, the resultant email does.

Thanks in advance.
