Data source locator

Hello -
I have a problem with VB.net standard. When I try to connect to a new data
base the program does nothing. If I try and edit a connection I can have the
error message "Data source locator is missing" - if I re install the VB.net
and .net 1.1
no change .
What is my problem

Viking,

Can you show you connectionstring and the code you use?

When you check it yourself you can as well have a look at

www.connectionstrings.com

Hei Cor
I am not using code at the monent to connect to the data source but I am
using server explorer in the Msoft dev enviroment, right click data
connection, and "add connection" - nothing happens.
If I try and add a new database referance in the solution explorer, then I
get the message " data source locator is missing". Any new ideas ??
I wil check out the www.connectionstrings.com
Thanks
Viking

Viking,

I am not using VBNet standard and therefore can not test for you.

VBNet as especially limits in DataBase use, however I don't know if this is
one of them.

But it is very easy to make the needed code by hand by the way.
