HttpWebRequest and WebRequest

What is the difference between the two and why would you use one over the
other?

Thanks.

WebRequest is an abstract class i.e. a class from which you have to inherit
and you have to implement some of its method.

You'll use httpWebRequest. You can also check System.Net.WebClient that is
higher level.
