Thanks, Cor. Yes, it always helps to have good resources!
I was a bit "show me everything in a sentence" in my original posting. I
guess what I'd like to find is something that expands on what the MSDN's
treeview tries to do, essentially (or even ideally) a book that walks
through the control in an organized fashion. I know that the information is
in the help/MSDN, but I generally wind up finding such resources better for
looking up how to do a specific thing and often feel like there's probably a
lot more I don't even know about. I also find myself having to follow a
dozen links to get an understanding of some help topics, where only three
links even really pertained.
Maybe I'm just too thick-skulled. <g>

John,
The winforms datagrid has so extended possibilities that your question
what I translated as, "please give me all details on one page" is in my opinion
impossible, however here a lot of links.
Complete very nice controls
