trouble getting started

Hi, I am new to .net and am starting an application in VB/ASP.net .
I don't want to waste much time in the wrong direction so thought it best to
ask some questions first.

I am using SQL2000 for the database. What I want to do is

set up an order entry form that would have a max 100 line entries.
An entry consists of item, qty, product, details (all chosen from drop down
lists)

Is it possible to use an array of the detail lines and add on to it if
another is required?
Is the data grid a possiblilty?

I really don't know the best route or the possiblities allowed so I need
some direction as to what is the best way to get off and running. Thanks in
advance for your always great help

Since this is your first project it's better to have someone help along the
way to mentor with the you. Find someone that has a few delivered products
under their belt.
