Tool for Comparing Assemblies ?

Our company has developed a framework for working with complex .net
assemblies. We had hoped to develop a flexible "component" environment that
would allow us to swap components in and out without a great deal of
depedencies.

In reality, we are finding the subtle changes in interfaces and libraries
break things like serialization.

But, these small changes are hard to track and detect.

I am wondering if a tool exists for comparing assemblies. The tool would be
something like "Ildasm compare." The tool could allow us to zero in on the
differences between two very similar assemblies.

Given the significance of this problem for our project, I may need to
develop my own version of this tool, but I want to check here first to see if
this functionality is already included in an existing product.

Thanks,

Dan
